        1. So it's still early but, despite how I voted, the numbers more or less don't look great for Bernie rn. And I get like 2 people are going to see this tweet thread but this is important to me and that's more or less why I write anything, whether it be my tweets or my essays

I'm surprised so few pundits and shit picked up on this. The main reason why Trump was able to win the Republican primary, numerically speaking, was that the non-fascist vote in the GOP was split for fucking ever between everyone in second place.

Ted Cruz held the tea party line while John Kaisich and Marco Rubio split the moderate vote. The two main opposing forces to Trump's far right movement never presented a united front against his base, and that allowed Trump to gain the Super Tuesday momentum needed to win.

I remember this clearly, so it's a bit surprising to me to see Chapo progressives cheering Pete or Klobuchar dropping out as if those votes were ever going to Bernie in the first place (they weren't, and most people don't know who they're voting for until they arrive)

I did the right thing and voted for Bernie. Hopefully Bernie can still secure the clear majority of delegates after this because if he only has a plurality that's the same as losing given the DNC's anti-democratic tendencies

But if you end up disappointed in the results today realize that, as leftists, we always need to remember the main flaw with electoralism: it literally never fucking works
