      It's a good read, but the TL;DR is that some of the most successful socialist praxis right now is happening in deep red, rural towns whose residents otherwise love conservatives, Trump, and capitalism.

    "Food desert" describe communities that lack access to grocery stores and fresh food, generally because the community is too low-income for companies to generate enough profit to justify providing for the community.

      As residents in these rural areas find themselves unable to access food, they've stopped waiting for capitalists to invest in them and have instead opened community-owned, voluntarist grocery stores that serve the people as a whole.

        The article doesn't mention that similar organizations form in poor urban communities as well, which are mostly black.

          Yes, the same black voters who vote overwhelmingly for the Democratic establishment and against socialism implement socialism by themselves in response to how capitalism has failed their communities.

            (Incidentally, this is why I hate it when white leftists act like black and poor voters don't know what's best for them. People generally know how to best fix their circumstances, you're just failing to translate that into votes)

              In a nutshell, this is how we convince people. Show them that our solutions work first. They can accept the literal word "socialism" second
