No one's saying you can't be aggressive or strong. What we are saying is that, for some reason, "edgy" always seems to mean "using slurs that shit on minorities" or "dropping dumbfuck takes about black nationalism". It's not the tone anyone has a problem with, it's the content

If anyone's making a little clique it's the Dirtbag leftists, who makes the space intolerable for anyone who isn't "edgy" (read: casually bigoted) out of some misplaced belief that it's accomplishing anything.
