                    As you may or may not know, the trouble with media analysis is that a good amount of media is never actually finished when you analyze it. Good analysis should remain relevant even as installments continue to be released.

                Since the release of this video I've noticed an uptick of open fascists in his subreddit. I'm not in his discord so I couldn't say, but I'm sure it's the same story there too.

            I'm not sure how you can mobilize your fanbase to give money to an organization dedicated to ending porn as a "joke" but not just link a bail fund or two in a video description. Not sure how you can teach thousands of people about posadism but not police brutality

          Then I saw this today: a highly upvoted post on r/jreg where a user shows off a t-shirt "joking" about shooting refugees. It's later revealed in the comments that the poster is a Nazi. Gets defended because "this community tolerates all extremes". Notice the downvote ratio

        To be clear, I'm NOT complaining that Jreg doesn't share my politics. My essay is meant to be read with the assumption that Jreg isn't a leftist at all. What does bother me is that he doesn't give a shit. Lately it feels like it's all just pointless memes to him.

      But some things aren't memes. The BLM protests, the rise of fascism, the rights of sex workers, these aren't memes. You can't treat them as such responsibly.

    At this point, my options are to write an update to the Jreg essay or just delete it from existence. I haven't decided which yet or when but one of the two will most likely happen
