Obviously one article does not speak for All of France but I think people underestimate how much a cultural reception of a medium can vary across borders. I think where I'm at now: while the movie has plenty in it that can and should be criticized, I think it's kind of irresponsible to talk about this film as if the only reason we care about Cuties specifically isn't because a right wing hate mob told us to.On twitter.com
