This is really frustrating. I was actually reading about the development of Tetris. Alexey Pajitnov was a speech recognition worker in the Soviet Union who became a computer scientist because he wanted to use computers to make people happy.On twitter.com

He came up with Tetris in his spare time based on toys he liked as a kid. And when he realized his friends and community really enjoyed what he'd made, he reached out to others to export the game. Only then did the idea leave the USSR and get licensed by capitalists.Permalink On twitter.com
