      This is all by their logic of course. I don't believe in capitalism. By liberal economic theory recessions happen when money isn't moving through the economy. If some will spend the checks on discretionary spending instead of essentials, that's still good for the economy

        It's actually really good for the economy. People who's entire stimulus check goes to rent and debt to large corporations CAN'T spend that money on small business. Whereas middle income recipients can when they would not have otherwise

          I'm not really sure how the hypothetical downsides of someone who doesn't need a check spending it on bullshit is supposed to outweigh the benefits of people who desperately need a large and immediate sum of money to stay afloat.
