Vaush neither sees the usefulness in preparing the working class for revolution (doesn't think it'll happen) or a general strike (doesn't think it'll happen) or developing independent worker's party (doesn't think it'll work) or independent left orgs (doesn't think it'll happen)

While he does not oppose people who do these things, his personal road to socialism centers primarily around promoting progressives within the Democratic party and turning liberals into social democrats.

Vaush's strategy is marked by a sneaky entryism into the Democratic party where we all pretend we're working for the same thing when we're not.

Vaush claims that Bernie Sanders radicalizes people to socialism, but all Bernie's done is call Nordic welfare states "socialism". Indeed the Nordic countries reject the idea that they're anywhere near socialism at all vox.com/2015/10/31/9650030/denmark-prime-minister-bernie-sanders

I don't hate Bernie Sanders or all progressives. It's just ignorant to claim these things are in any way anti capitalist or anti imperialist on their own. They're not, especially in the West.

So to sum up: Vaush's main strategy to achieve socialism is voting for politicians who promote the kind of capitalism they have in Norway over neoliberals, and voting for neoliberals over fascists. How is this materially different from a Progressive Democrat?

Vaush's strategy for socialism is indistinguishable from a social democrat building power in the Democratic establishment. And indeed he admits that he wants to build social democracy first as a "stepping stone" to socialism (a thing that has not, and will never ever happen)
