Trump creating an independent political party is an interesting case study because it's an example of something that is both good for the Democratic party electorally but bad for the left
-
Trump had streamlined fascist recruitment in the GOP while in office, and it led to what happened on the sixth. He basically always had to fight with traditional conservative types who just want to work with Dems to screw over the poor and he racist in a polite way

A "Patriot Party" would be the last four years but on steroids. It'd be a place where other charismatic fascists can rise through the ranks of the party and organize. It wouldn't have to pretend it doesn't know the Proud Boys and other groups, making life easier for them.
-
The Dems would gain electoral strength in some areas but they would also shift right to align with the GOP against the Patriot Party. We'd see more Democratic victories but the country won't exactly move left as a result

Is this an anarchist admitting that the party formation is effective? Shh shh shh dont think about it
