      When orgs do phone banking they don't ask who you voted for or try and place you on the political compass. They try and get your opinion on a very specific issue.

        Good organizers will try and have 5-10 minute convo on what you think about, say, the mayor ending the eviction moratorium in your city. And then if things go well they ask you if you want to help that org's campaign to keep the moratorium in place

          Understanding "liberalism" as "closer" to "socialism" than "fascism" only kinda makes sense when talking about the macro direction of a society or organization. But it makes no sense in recruitment or organizing. Most individuals are incoherent politically
