I had this thought in the CWT discord as well but I wanted to add nuance to my Amber thoughts a bit first of all, hard no to this take @TrailerDrake/1391778890532724744

I guess the main issue I have with the writing is that Mark hasn't done anything wrong? If Mark forgot about a date because he was excited about training, maybe you could argue that he's not prioritizing her. But this never happens
-
Actually his natural instinct is to prioritize Amber. His abusive space colonizer fash dad puts him in situations where he has to choose between him and his human relationships. There's even a scene where Mark has to beg Nolan to see his girlfriend "just this once"
-
It's kind of victim blaming to say Mark should've somehow been there for Amber more - the story never presents him with that chance. It makes Amber look like she's mad at Mark for being abused, which I don't think is what was intended.
-
Being mad at Mark for abandoning her instead of single handedly fighting off a supervillain, and then being mad at Mark for... doing exactly that and being a superhero makes no sense. It's bad writing I think, and not Amber being written to be a bitch like I had originally said
