                                I guessed that the people who did this OP and the Code Geass EDs were the same and I was right. They're both by Ali Project. I happen to quite like the Code Geass EDs but I'm not sure I want Code Geass vibes here

        It seems the show's main critique of the government is that it treats test subjects like objects. That wasn't... untrue for the USSR? But I will say the US had far more space race casualties during than the USSR did, and was less willing to cancel dangerous flights

    I think what I find interesting is that while the show has some obvious critiques of power, it doesn't do the thing where it says "socialism is when breadlines" or "socialism is when dictator". It seems to argue the system has lost some humanity
