      1. If you're an artist and you feel like darker characters just don't work in your style or pallet, you are actually just bad at art. . Or, okay, well, I'll be nice for once and try and be helpful

      You are trying to color dark skin as if it were "light skin but darker" when it's super not. I've never thought of my own skin that way because it's kind of obviously not true? But everytime I see ugly skin tones in art I can tell that's what they were thinking

    It's waaay more complicated than this and I could legitimately go on about this forever but a key idea is that "peach" (light yellow/orange) is a natural pale skin tone, but "dark peach" is NOT natural and looks like vomit. You want dark reds instead
