    1. People are talking anime of the year. So... ignoring the alarming number of people saying Mushoku Tensei right now. But I think this year was kinda underwhelming? As a whole? Not a lot of anime was good this year I'll be real, at least from my POV

    Part of this is definitely me not being able to watch everything people said was good. I love Log Horizon and I didn't even finish it. But the amount of anime I have watched vs the amount I enjoyed is frighteningly small like

              But I think what's actually bothering me is not just shows like Mushoku Tensei getting of uncritical support by big anitubers, but things that I actively wanted to be good ending up worse than they had any right to be.

                I will defend Wonder Egg Priority to the end of the earth but the fact that it couldn't just be good is just... Even things like Moriarty Season 2 and My Next Life as a Villainess Season 2, while I enjoyed them, were definitely worse than their first seasons. Sakugan fell off.

                    So lest people say I'm just a hater I liked Sonny Boy. I liked Odd Taxi. I liked WEP. I'd pitch any of those three for anime of the year mainly for pushing boundaries in cool ways.

                      But there was just so much trashy and forgettable stuff I've thought seriously about just not doing seasonal anime anymore and doing more Code Geass/Death Note/Franxx type content for Twitter. Just because at least those things are interesting to talk about
