    If you let your imagination run wild with images of out-of-touch white executives commissioning MIT to build a dystopian robot that tells poor marginalized creators if their art has enough "diversity points" to be published it sounds super scary, but that's not what it is

      It is very easy to say "just listen to marginalized creators for once!" when you are writing one character in one game. But if you are writing 50 characters in 50 games it suddenly becomes useful to just graph them on axes you've already identified you want to diversity

        You can't use code and numbers to algorithmically create the "perfect" "diverse" character, but you can use code to learn that 90% of your cast is skinny white people and the three Black characters you wrote all have the same personality, which is how the tool's supposed to work
