I am continually interested in the effects of media critics, mostly in places like YouTube, calling things they don't like personally "objectively bad" when liking or disliking something is inherently an irrational process
-
I saw, somewhat recently, a review of a video game that compared it to another game in the series. The reviewer went down a list of features rewarding 1 point to A or B depending on which did better. In the end, B had more points, so B was deemed "objectively better" than A

And I've been thinking about it since, like, is this not just a list of things you personally value in those games? Like the numbering system doesn't actually do anything but add math to your opinion.
