The smell of a fart is mostly due to gasses like methane, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia, whose molecules are all ~1000x smaller than a whole virus. The larger particles in the fart are indeed trapped by your underwear, which is why it's best not to sleep totally naked @mtgreenee/1597403782492540928
