  1. Around the time Squid Game was released, workers in South Korea had a general strike that included some Squid Game theming. I noted that Koreans seemed to pick up on the revolutionary themes of the show better than Americans like Mr Beast. People were so mad for no reason @fartdoodoobutt/1634350177736704002

      People unfamiliar with the strike told me I was orientalist for being unable to think of strikes in South Korea outside of the lens of Squid Game. I also, apparently, thought all American workers are stupid, even though my next tweet said I hoped that the strikes we had here grew

        I think there are a lot of lefty types on here who make it a mission to actively find problems with popular tweets. I will always try to ask these types what specifically they have a problem with (I genuinely want to learn!) and they don't usually respond because it's not real
