(you can guess which one I am)

So she's a High IQ baby™

okay but seriously. I've been dancing around the issue a bit because egg is so strong in so many ways but I think it's time we did some more careful class analysis of egg
-
listen egg wants to talk class so I'll wack it with a Marxism and see what falls out (and by I I mean @kranasAngel mainly)
-
WEP keeps introducing new ideas and handling them really well, but we're this late in the season and it's just adding more things instead of finishing them
-
So right now we both noted how weird it is that Neiru invited her friends over to kill her test-tube albino genius sister doctor. But this could have been a scene where we learn Neuru needs the strength of her friends to do what she thinks needs to be done
-
instead it just kinda seems like a contrivance

@kranasAngel says "It's the first feelingless egg ... It doesn't build tension, it introduces plot elements that could've been introduced earlier, and then expects you to care, which is particularly upsetting because the feelings it tried to explore require set-up." (1/2)
-
"It's also disappointing how this is disjoint from Neiru's previous episode. Since the two aren't building on each other, it adds to the dissonance and thus, why the episode doesn't work" (2/2)
-
Me: meh I was told this episode "tackles" like MENSA babies and such, but it... doesn't. It doesn't do much of anything interesting actually (bringing up that something exists != handling the issue). But it wasn't *not* fun. Hence the "meh"
